London facility appoints new Head of Editing as Vee Pinot moves to GPS New York

Gramercy Park Studios has appointed Joe McNally as Head of Editing, London. His appointment comes as the facility continues to boost its creative credentials and expand its offering in both London and New York.

McNally joins following a period freelancing that has seen him work with agencies and production companies on commercials, documentaries and films for TV and cinema.

On joining GPS, Joe says: “I wanted to find a home to work in – one that had the right people and the right approach to our ever-changing industry. GPS is a very welcoming environment with highly experienced, creative and friendly people. It’s an extremely collaborative place, with clients, producers, editors, colourists, VFX and sound artists all working together with one goal – to do the best work. What sold it to me was sitting on a set in Poland with everyone collaborating. No ‘us and them’, just all working together from script to screen with everyone on the same page.”

Gramercy Park is currently undergoing a period of expansion – adding five additional VFX and editing suites as well as a new sound suite.  It is also increasing its presence in New York, with former London Head of Editing, Vee Pinot, and Editor, James McLean, moving across the pond to make further inroads to the North American market and develop opportunities for the two facilities to work together more closely.

“Adding an editor of Joe’s calibre to the team here in London really helps to enhance our creative backbone and ensure we continue to have the best talent across every department. We’re also really excited to have such a talented duo in Vee and James flying the GPS flag in New York,” says Richard Ireland, MD.
