Jamie is a VFX Artist and Director with over 25 years experience in film and television having worked on features such as "Mary Shelley's Frankenstein”, " Lost In Space" and “Elizabeth", and numerous promos for bands including U2, Queen and the Kaiser Chiefs.
He has directed commercials for brands including Sony, The Telegraph, Emirates Airlines, DHL, Echo Falls and Yellow Tail and pioneered many 2D character animation and lip synching techniques on commercials for Anchor Butter and Swiss Milk.
Jamie originally studied Graphic Design to Degree level, followed by an MA in Electronic Imaging in Scotland, but has been based in London since 1990.
He has headed up 2D Departments at Complete Video, Pepper, Scramble Soho, 422 TV, and Prodigious and his work has now won over 50 international awards. In 1993 Jamie became the first person to win two Monitor Awards in Los Angeles for Design and Visual Effects for the promo for Peter Gabriels “Steam'
Jamie has been twice nominated for a BAFTA for his work on the Miss Marple TV series and more recently for his rebranding work for Toblerone with Ogilvy.
