Gramercy Park Studios Serves Up Stop-motion Sequel Launching Sipsmith’s Tennis Takeover

Soho studio completes grade, online and audio in Mr Swan’s return to the screen.

Gramercy Park Studios have partnered with Ogilvy UK and Biscuit Films as Sipsmith promote their inaugural year as Official Gin Partner of The Championships, Wimbledon.

Following the success of Mr Swan’s debut appearance in 2019, the irreverent, yet loveable, spokesswan (voiced by Julian Barrett) returns to the screen, only to ruffle feathers by mistakenly announcing Wimbledon as the Official Tennis of Sipsmith Gin, and subsequently laying claim to some of the club’s famous iconography and paraphernalia.

The campaign was directed by Jeff Low and is once again shot in stop-motion to reflect the craft of Sipsmith’s distillation process and Wimbledon’s famous meticulousness and high standards.

Sound designer Zak Kurtha said: “Knowing that the craft of the film-making process itself is used as a tool to mirror Sipsmith’s own, it was important to me to ensure that we brought that same level of attention to detail and creativity to the sound. Working with the creative team and Julian Barrett to bring the scenes and characters to life was a treat.”

Colourist Ben Rogers added: “We’re no strangers to working on the biggest sporting events and with iconic brands and their mascots, but it was something special to be able to work on this unique combination of character, event, and stop-motion animation.”
